- Is PicklePal really free?
- Yes. Every format and every feature on this page is free, with no sign-up, no account and no paywall. There is no premium tier holding the bracket hostage.
- Do I have to create an account?
- No. Open the page, type in your players and start playing. Your events save straight to your browser and sync in the background so they are still there next week.
- What is the difference between round robin, pool play and a tournament?
- A round robin rotates everyone through games on your courts and ranks them in one table — best for open play and league night. Pool play splits the field into pools and then crosses the top finishers into a playoff. The tournament mode adds DUPR-seeded pools and a full single-elimination bracket for a club championship.
- How many players and courts does it handle?
- Anything from 4 players on one court to a club-sized field across sixteen courts. Give the courts your real numbers and the schedule uses them.
- Does it need DUPR ratings?
- Only if you want balanced teams, balanced pools or closer games. Leave the ratings blank for casual open play and everything still works.
- What is skinny singles and when does PicklePal use it?
- Skinny singles is a one-on-one game played on half the court. In a rotating-partner pool the table ranks individuals, so two players can finish genuinely level. PicklePal spots that, tells you exactly who has to play off and for which position, and you just tap the winner.
- Can other people follow along or help keep score?
- Yes. Turn on the live link and anyone can watch scores, standings and the bracket update on their own phone without being able to change anything. A separate scorekeeper link lets someone you trust enter scores from another court.
- Will my schedule still be there tomorrow?
- Yes. Events save on your device and sync to the cloud in the background, so they are waiting when you come back. Nothing is visible to anyone else unless you turn on a share link.
